Reports To: Vice President, Commercial Development
The Director will be responsible for optimizing commercial development for a novel compound for hormone-refractory prostate cancer currently in Phase 2 trials. He or she will also serve as the product champion within the Company. This position will report to the Vice President of Commercial Development.
Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Define market requirements, including value proposition
- Provide commercial input into Phase 3 clinical trial design
- Steward Brand Vision and communication requirements
- Develop and manage key thought leader relationships
- Develop and manage key advocacy group relationships
- Design and conduct clinical trial recruitment program
- With Medical Affairs, oversee Medical Education and publication strategy
- Manage congress presence
- Determine product naming and branding
- Identify and manage reimbursement issues
- Establish pricing
- Analyze and track competitors
- MBA preferred, advanced degree required
- Oncology: Drug product launch experience in Marketing required
- Prostate cancer: Familiarity with prostate cancer market a plus
- Minimum cumulative 5 to 10 years experience in pharmaceuticals or biotechnology
- Market / new product planning experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry a plus
- Self-starter with strong analytical skills, decision-making capabilities and demonstrated problem solving skills
- Adaptable to changing roles/responsibilities required in dynamic entrepreneurial environment
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional team members
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation and strong interpersonal skills
