Dr. Doody is a professor of neurology, the Effie Marie Cain Chair in Alzheimer’s Disease Research, and the director of the Alzheimer’s Disease and Memory Disorder Center at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Doody participated in the development of CIBIC-plus, one of the primary cognitive assessment endpoints that the FDA has used for the currently approved Alzheimer’s drugs. Dr. Doody has worked on clinical studies for all of the FDA-approved cholinesterase drugs for Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Doody received her M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine and holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in cognitive anthropology from Rice University.
