W. Anthony Vernon

Chief Executive Officer

North American Grocery Company, Kraft Foods Inc.

Mr. Vernon previously served as the executive vice president and president of Kraft Foods North America (2009-2011) and was named the chief executive officer of the North American Grocery Company, in 2011. He came to Kraft Foods from private equity firm Ripplewood Holdings, where he served since 2006 as healthcare industry partner. Prior to Ripplewood Holdings, Mr Vernon led a number of Johnson and Johnson's largest franchises during a 23 year career, including company group chairman of DePuy Orthopedics, Inc. (2004-2005), president of Centocor, Inc. (2001-2004), president of McNeil Consumer Healthcare (1999-2001), and president worldwide of the Johnson & Johnson Merck Joint Venture (1995-1999). Mr. Vernon received a B.A. from Lawrence University and an M.B.A. from the Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
