Medivation, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company with small molecule drugs in clinical development to treat three large, unmet medical needs—Alzheimer’s disease, Huntington’s disease and castration-resistant prostate cancer. Our lead product candidate, Dimebon, has successfully completed the first of two pivotal trials required to seek marketing approval in the United States for mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s disease, and our second confirmatory pivotal Phase 3 trial is underway. In July 2008 we announced positive safety and efficacy results from our Phase 2 trial of Dimebon for the treatment of Huntington’s disease, and we plan to continue further development of Dimebon in patients with mild-to-moderate Huntington’s disease based on the results seen in this trial. Our proprietary compound MDV3100 is currently in a Phase 1-2 clinical trial in approximately 100 patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer.
